See the filming session,"elephants at work"

The 29th of March 2004,the last day of filmimg for the Oxford Scientific Films ( OSF) film crew. Their last project, which was filming "elephants at work", took the crew to Ruwanwella. Intecepting them while on their filming project were Chandrika Maelge and Devaka Perera of Jetwing Eco Holidays.

The elephants make their way onto the logging grounds. The OSF crew set up their equipment.

The crew start rolling the cameras as the elphants grasp their respective logs and lumber downhill, directed by the mahouts on their backs. Fot the mahout, there is no rest as every step taken by the elephants have to be directed on this particular slope.

The elephants carry the logs to the trucks used for transportation.
|
One last nudge from the elephant places the log in the correct position on the truck. The OSF Ccrew have the footage they need of "elephants at work and can now celebrate the end of a perfect filming season with a little help from Jetwing Eco Holidays
