Publications by Jetwing Eco Holidays

The Publications Unit of Jetwing Eco Holidays  focuses on two areas of activity. First, the publication of quality but affordable booklets to develop field guiding skills and raise awareness of Sri Lanka’s biodiversity. Secondly, we publish high quality coffee table books, which are authoritative in terms of content and strong in design. The sales of these high quality books are used to finance the educational efforts of our company and also to reinforce Sri Lanka's attractions as a travel destination.

The Director of Jetwing Eco Holidays has also written and photographed  for some of the internationally published books such as A Birdwatchers Guide to Sri Lanka (Oriental Bird Club, UK), A Photographic Guide to the Birds of Sri Lanka, Magic of Sri Lanka and Portrait of Sri Lanka (New Holland, London) and Sri Lankan Wildlife (Bradt Travel Guides, UK).

Jetwing Eco Holidays believes in the concept of continuously developing quality literature to help promote Sri Lanka as a top eco tourism destination in the world.

The second part of the book draws from the scientific literature what is presently known about each of the species and sub-species. The photography is by Gehan de Silva Wijeyeratne who has spent many years taking some remarkable portraits of primates in the wild.
